I am an applied economist and hold a PhD in Economics, Networks and Business Analytics from the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. My work lies at the intersection of policy evaluation, forecasting, and empirical research using large-scale datasets to understand economic change and support decision-making under uncertainty.
Currently, I am an Economist in the Big Data & AI unit at BBVA Research, where I develop high-frequency economic indicators from non-traditional datasets. My work focuses on developing and validating new economic indicators, and integrating them into macroeconomic analysis.
My research combines econometrics, causal inference, machine learning, and large-scale microdata to study how new data sources can improve our understanding of economic activity and structural change.
